SONY PICTURES CORE™
The BRAVIA CORE service is now known as SONY PICTURES CORE™.
SONY PICTURES CORE™ is Sony’s exclusive movie app, offering select BRAVIA TV owners the ultimate streaming experience with top-tier picture quality and the largest collection of IMAX® Enhanced films.
To access the SONY PICTURES CORE™ app on your BRAVIA TV, follow these steps:
Step 1: Connect to the Internet
Ensure that your BRAVIA TV is connected to a stable internet connection, either via Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
Step 2: Registering your Account
After you launch the SONY PICTURES CORE™ app on your home screen, or app tray, you will need to sign in.
If this is the first time you are using the app, you will need to create an account.
To create an account, choose “Create Account” and enter your email address to proceed.
If you already have an existing account, proceed to sign into your account with your registered email.
When registering an account, you will be asked to enter your date of birth to verify your age.
After you have verified your age, you’ll need to review and accept all terms on the “Legal & Data” page to continue.
You have now successfully created your account.
On the next screen, you’ll have the option to enable Pure Stream, which provides the highest streaming picture quality but requires more data.1
Step 3: Enjoy a premium selection of content on SONY PICTURES CORE™
You may now proceed to browse through the available movies and TV shows in the SONY PICTURES CORE™ Homepage. Select a title to view more details and choose to rent, purchase, or stream (if included with your subscription).
You will see any credits you have left available at the lower left of the screen. From the menu, you can go to Settings, and view important information regarding your available credits and subscription expiration dates.
Now you can explore the extensive collection of content available on SONY PICTURES CORE™.
Step 4: Ways to stream on SONY PICTURES CORE™
1. Renting a Movie: You’ll have 30 days to start watching after renting. Once you press play, you’ll have 48 hours to finish the movie.
2. Buying a Movie: Purchased movies are added to your Library, allowing unlimited access whenever you're signed into your SONY PICTURES CORE™ account.
3. Streaming Packages & Offers: If the movie is included as part of a promotional offer (such as a new BRAVIA TV purchase), you can stream it at no additional cost, depending on the specific offer.
On BRAVIA TVs:
If your TV supports SONY PICTURES CORE™, you can access it from the home menu.
Sign in or create a Sony's account.
Stream high-quality movies, some with IMAX® Enhanced and Pure Stream technology.
1. To access Pure Stream™ at 30Mbps, you must have a minimum internet speed of 43Mbps. To access highest quality Pure Stream™ available at up to 80Mbps you must have a minimum internet speed of 115Mbps. To enjoy up to 80 Mbps with Pure Stream™ functionality, you need to connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi (wireless LAN) that supports IEEE 802.11 n/ac/ax(*2).
