About This Course

Lighting can make or break a wedding photograph, especially when moments unfold quickly and lighting conditions change without warning. In this course, Malaysian wedding photographer and Sony Ambassador Mun Keat shares his practical approach to using flash confidently in real wedding environments, drawing from nearly two decades of professional wedding photography experience.

Through seven easy-to-follow modules, you'll learn how to build an efficient wedding photography setup, understand the fundamentals of TTL flash, and apply flash techniques that solve common challenges faced during actual wedding assignments. From balancing difficult backlighting and correcting colour casts to mastering direct flash and bounce flash, each lesson is designed to help you work faster, smarter, and with greater confidence.

You'll also gain a practical understanding of flash selection, guide numbers, wireless flash capabilities, recycle times, and when to choose different flash configurations based on the shooting environment. Real-world examples and demonstrations will show how flash can be used not only as a corrective tool, but also as a creative one.

Beyond the technical aspects, this course explores how flash can expand your creative possibilities, helping you create everything from natural, timeless wedding imagery to dynamic editorial-style portraits and energetic after-party photographs. By the end of the course, you'll have the knowledge and confidence to use flash effectively in any wedding situation, allowing you to deliver more consistent, polished, and professional results regardless of the available light.
