About This Course

Throughout the course, Adam shares his practical experience in choosing the right camera and lenses, understanding bird behaviour, planning successful shoots, and mastering key camera settings such as autofocus, shutter speed, aperture, and ISO. You'll also learn techniques for photographing perched birds, birds in flight, and how to use composition and natural light to create more impactful images.

Beyond camera techniques, the course explores wildlife ethics, responsible bird photography, and the importance of respecting birds and their habitats. Adam also provides insights into image selection, editing workflows, and continuous improvement to help you grow as a photographer over time.

By the end of the course, you'll have a strong foundation in bird photography, greater confidence in the field, and the knowledge to capture memorable wildlife moments while enjoying the adventure of bird photography.

Instructor

Adam Teo’s fascination with wildlife began at a young age, growing up surrounded by animals and nature. He studied Zoology, spending much of his university years birdwatching and observing wildlife through field studies.

After starting his career, Adam bought his first camera to document the wildlife he encountered. What began as a way to record his experiences soon became a lifelong passion for photography.

With a professional background in animal conservation, education and public engagement, Adam brings a strong understanding of wildlife behaviour to his photography. He particularly enjoys birds in flight and wildlife action, where patience, anticipation and timing are key to capturing fleeting moments.

Today, Adam shares his knowledge through photography and workshops, covering camera techniques, fieldcraft, composition and wildlife behaviour.

His philosophy is simple: chase the moment, tell the story, and let the photograph inspire.
